Changing your password every so often is a good practice that will help to ensure your account(s) stay safe and secure. Using a password manager for generating and storing secure passwords is a good idea as well. I’m a happy 1Password user, but there are other great solutions available too, such as LastPass and Dashlane.
Anyway, without further ado…here’s a quick tutorial on how to change your account password for Google services.
While logged in to your Google account, click on your profile icon, then click “MyAccount”.
On the next page, click the link that says “Signing in to Google” in the first column under Sign-In & Security.
Click on the row that says “Password”.
Re-enter your current Google password.
Enter a secure new password and click the “Change Password” button.
You’ve changed your Google account password. Well done!
